In 2024, 7 – 12 July, the 31st World Congress of the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR) will take place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, hosted by the Soongsil University and the Korean Section of the IVR. The World Congresses are the biannual gatherings of the main international academic association in the area of philosophy of law and social philosophy, bringing together scholars from around the world. The main theme of the congress is “The Rule of Law, Justice and the Future of Democ-racy”. It will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to expand the boundary and depth of research on legal philosophy and social philosophy. The congress will explore these and related themes in plenary lectures, special workshops and working groups, and will offer special topical panels on themes of currently substantial importance.
We kindly invite you to participate in the General Assembly of the IVR on Friday, 12 July 2024, 14.00 (more details on the meeting will follow). On this occasion, the General Assembly of the IVR will elect a new President, the Vice-Presidents and the other voting members of the Executive Committee (§ 6 para. 5 of the IVR Constitution).
